Hong Kong Pools – The Best Places to Cool Off This Summer

  • Gambling

As the weather gets cooler, swimming becomes a popular sport to enjoy, especially as it’s a great way to unwind and let off some steam. It’s also been proven to boost your energy levels – try swimming three times a week and you should feel genuinely more energized! If you’re looking for the perfect place to hit the water, there are plenty of hk pools to choose from.

Whether you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids or simply want a bit of a splash, these Hong Kong pools are guaranteed to keep you cool this season.

Public Swimming Pools

With 44 pools managed by LCSD (Local Communities and Social Services Department) around the city, there’s a pool for everyone. Most feature one or more 50m pools as well as a shallow pool for children. Entrance is usually HK$17 on weekdays and HK$19 on weekends, with concession rates for people over 60, those with disabilities, students and full-time school teachers allowing them to get in for cheaper.

For a more luxurious swim, head to the W Hong Kong and take advantage of their Wet rooftop pool. Located 211 metres above ground, this stunning pool is a must-see for anyone looking to experience a workout amongst the clouds. Open to non-hotel guests, you can purchase an everyday deluxe pass and enjoy the beautiful city and harbour view from day to night.

Another great option for those looking to escape the heat is Hammer Hill Public Pool, located in the heart of Happy Valley. This swimming pool is a great option for families as it features an indoor and outdoor pool plus a toddlers’ pool and a snack bar. However, it’s best to visit this pool during the week if you don’t like it too busy as weekends are always crowded.

If you’re looking for a more adventurous swimming experience, check out the Tai Po Public Pool, which has one of the longest and highest water slides in the city. This destination public pool is packed during the week and weekends as it attracts families with kids of all ages. The swimming pool itself features a large number of waterslides and fountains, making it one of the most fun and thrilling places to cool off this summer!

Depending on what you want from your new pool, you can expect to spend anywhere between $2,500-$3,500 to have it installed. There are a number of additional options you can add, such as automation and lighting, which can increase the price of your project significantly, but will provide you with incredible design impact both day and night.
